O Instituto de Filosofia da Linguagem, através do projecto de investigação Cinema & Filosofia, organiza hoje pelas 18 horas, no Auditório 1 da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, uma conferência de Noel Carrol: «Philosophical Insight, Emotion, and Popular Fiction: The Case of Sunset Boulevard». Dado o tema da conferência, será projectado, a partir das 16 horas, no mesmo local, o filme Sunset Boulevard, de Billy Wilder.
Noël Carroll é um distinguido professor de Filosofia do Graduate Center da City University of New York e um dos mais importantes filósofos mundiais no campo da arte e da estética, particularmente na área da filosofia do cinema.
