«Multiplace»

Abril é também o mês de Multiplace, o festival da cultura em rede, em oitava edição, a começar já dia 14, e que irá conectar nove cidades na Eslováquia, República Checa e Polónia.

The eighth year of Festival Multiplace will take place between April 14and April 18, 2009, in Bratislava, Nitra, Trnava, Zilina (SlovakRepublic), Praha, Brno, Usti nad Labem, Zlin (Czech Republic), Krakow(Poland) and on the Internet. There will be various experimental programs prepared for visitors; concerts, projections, screenings,discussions, performances, parties and live streaming. Those who are braver can take part in network workshops or art installations wherethey can creatively use new technologies. This is a great event for fans of computer games and digital art as well as for those who are more interested in theory.
Multiplace is a network of people and independent organisations interested in the interaction between media, technology, the arts,culture and society. It is the biggest event of its kind in Slovakia andone of the main media art events in Central Europe. The activities of this network culminate each Spring with this festival that simultaneously take place within spaces and/or organised by, various independent organisations, including galleries, cultural centers, clubs, cafés, streets and flats. Many events are streamed live online and areopen to everybody, some are only available on the Internet.
